Farmington Farmers Market Concert June 19th, 2021

Concert “Nihon no Kaori” on June 19th, 2021

Hello everyone! This was actually the first Farmers Market Concert after we have incorporated as Ensemble Hanabi since we did our first and second performance before we incorporated in October! Thanks, Mr. Walts and The Farmington Farmers Market for providing us this great opportunity to perform at the market!

This concert’s title, “Nihon no Kaori,” roughly translates to “Scent of Japan.” As the name suggests, our concert today largely reflected the Japanese tone and tradition, including songs like Sakura and Yagibushi, which are Japanese folk songs, as well as Always With You, which is from Studio Ghibli, a famous Japanese animation film studio. We would also like to thank The Great Lakes Taiko Center for letting us borrow the Taiko, which is the traditional Japanese drums, for Yagibushi. From now on, I would like to post concerts on the concerts and the past concerts page, instead of this blog page! You can access today’s concert directly from below! Please enjoy.
